Match funding is where your employer pledges a sum of money relating to the amount you have raised or donated to PSC Support (or charity of your choice). Not all companies offer match funding, but many do as part of their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme. Some organisations will match fund on a pound for pound basis while others will stipulate the amount they are prepared to give.
Examples of match funding:
- Your employer matches the total amount raised from your Cake sale or marathon.
- Your employer pays for the quiz night you hold to raise money for PSC Support.
- Your employer matches your regular Give as You Earn donations.
This means that potentially your employer could double the amount of funds you raise for PSC Support!
Even if your employer does not offer a Match Funding scheme, it is always worth asking your friends and family if it is available through their employer, especially if they are helping you organise your event.
There are no paid staff at PSC Support; everybody volunteers their time freely to help others affected by PSC and so that every penny of your donation is put to good use. Our vision is to live in a world where there is a cure for Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis.
Please speak to your employer about whether they have a scheme in place for match funding, or if they’d be willing to set one up.
