Josh commits to the 2014 Virgin London Marathon for Maxine

UPDATE: 1st October 2014 - Maxine had her transplant!

We are delighted to announce that Joshua Tapp is running the Virgin 2014 London Marathon for PSC Support.

Josh has already started training, and completed a 6 mile run the other day.

"My girlfriend, Maxine who has PSC, is in currently on the liver transplant list because her disease is now at the stage where her liver is starting to fail, receiving a liver transplant is the only hope she, and many other PSC patients have of becoming well again. I urge you to consider discussing organ donation with your loved ones... and joining the 31% of us who are currently on the donor register.  I know Maxine and her family receive enormous support from PSC Support and hopefully the money and awareness raised form this event will be of great help!"

We wish Josh the best of luck with his training, and we'll keep you updated on his progress. You can also follow Josh's progress and support him at his Virgin Money Giving page or his Just Giving page.

Maxine is blogging her way to a transplant. She writes thoughtfully and frankly about being on the transplant waiting list at just 24years of age.
