Ladies Who Run!
Maria’s friends and family have been incredibly supportive following her PSC diagnosis.
“Some of my friends are experienced runners and when they offered to run for PSC Support I was incredibly touched, but also thought that I had better put my running shoes on (not that I had any at the time!) and join them!”
Maria got hold of some running gear and started running! She first did a 5K run for Cancer Research, and got the running bug!
“We ran the 5, 10 and 15k at Richmond Park in October for PSC Support. We had some fantastic supporters and all completed our races in good time.
My friends and family have found the PSC Support website an invaluable source of information and comfort whilst I was going through the tests and following my diagnosis, and since it also invests in research for the condition it seemed like an obvious choice of charity to fundraise for. I also like the idea of turning a negative into something positive.”
Thank you to Maria and her friends for working hard to raise awareness of PSC and fundraise for PSC Support. It isn't too late to sponsor Maria and her wonderful friends: Maria's Fundraising Page.
