Lorraine

Lorraine was diagnosed with PSC in 2007 and wanted to find a way to raise awareness of PSC and funds for PSC Support.

Back in May 2015, she bravely announced on our PSC Support Facebook group that she was going to climb Ben Nevis with her husband four months later. It seemed like a long way off but the group members were immediately supportive and excited, and wanted to sponsor Lorraine straight away.

Over the following months, members eagerly awaited Lorraine's updates.There were highs and lows along the way, and sometimes PSC symptoms got in the way, but not for long.

Despite suffering with pain, fatigue and itch, Lorraine was determined and kept up with her training, insisting, "I really need to do this challenge & I won't let it beat me!"

We're delighted to say that Lorraine successfully climbed to the 4409ft summit on a misty, damp day in September and smashed her fundraising target, raising well over £410 for PSC Support.
