Maxine Presents the Patient Perspective to Liver Transplant Nurses

Our Programme Development Officer, Maxine, was invited to talk at the South West Liver Nurses study day on 10th July at Derriford Hospital.

Maxine talked about her experience of living with PSC from diagnosis, to life after transplant and how liver nurses can make a difference to our care.

'I wanted to give an honest account of my own experience and highlight the difficulties that people with PSC face every day, even after having a transplant. Living with PSC is not easy for anyone, there is a huge emotional burden that comes with it, but good and consistent care can make a world of difference.'
