If you are on the Waiting List for a liver transplant, you should very soon receive a letter explaining the new national Liver Offering Scheme for liver transplantation. This new scheme means that potential organs (livers) for transplant will be matched to patients on the waiting list in a more in-depth way. This is expected to increase the number of lives saved and improved by liver transplant.

  • A new system to decide who is offered available organs for liver transplant first has been introduced.

We are frequently invited to represent the patient perspective when advising on research topics and study design. To date, your views (such as those from our 2016 PSC Support Patient Unmet Needs and Research Implications report) have been invaluable in informing the direction and design of PSC research. We have a new opportunity to present your current perspective to leading PSC researchers from around the world at the International PSC Study Group (iPSCsg) meeting in June.

In just one month (33 days to be precise!), the London Marathon will see three special runners running in aid of PSC Support. Look out for them in their white PSC Support tops, and if you go to spectate, give them a big cheer!
