Support Groups at Transplant Units

At some point, you may face the prospect of needing a liver transplant. Support groups at most liver units in the UK are there to help you. We've put together a list of these groups:
Addenbrookes Liver Transplant Association (Addenbrookes Hospital, Cambridge)

ALTA is a charity that aims to relieve the suffering and distress of liver transplant patients and their families before, during and after transplantation.

LISTEN is a patient-led support network at Kings College Hospital, London. It aims to provide a source of information and peer support for patients and their families before and after receiving a liver transplant at King’s College Hospital.
A liver patient support group to help and support to patients diagnosed with liver problems, both at the monthly meetings and counselling sessions.
St James Liver Transplant Support Group

A liver support group offering support to all transplant patients and their families pre- and post-transplant.
(Freeman Hospital, Newcastle upon Tyne)
LIVErNORTH is a regional adult liver patient support group for people with any kind of liver disease. Our region includes Northumberland and the Scottish Borders, Tyne & Wear, Durham, Cumbria and the East Riding of Yorkshire.
