Team Unlikely Lads

Good friends Kien, Theo, Sean, Ricky, Ruairidh, Matt and Mikey got together to raise money for PSC Support, Macmillan Cancer Support and St Joseph's Hospice in memory of some close family and friends. Kien writes on behalf of the team, "My dear mother Pamela Robinson passed away in June last year after losing her battle with cancer, and I decided to do something not only in her memory but also a very dear friend of ours Melvin Carlton Roberts who sadly passed away in January last year at the tragically young age of 29, and Daniel Roberts, a great friend and keen cyclist who passed away in August 2011 aged 38. So me & five friends, Theo Caudell, Sean Hutchinson, Ricky Reemer, Ruairidh Ainger & Matt North are cycling over 1000 miles from London to Barcelona, hoping to raise £10,000 for 3 charities which do exceptionally good work during extremely difficult times. We will be joined by Mikey McCartney who has very kindly agreed to drive a support vehicle for the journey. If you are able to donate any amount we would be most grateful, every penny will help our legs to pedal that little bit further. Thank you."

Team Unikely Lads cycled over 1000 miles and smashed their target of £10,000, raising over over £13,000 for the three charities. They Tweeted their epic adventure @londontobarcelo and posted regular updates and photos on their Facebook page Blackfriars to Barcelona.

We're sure you'll agree the Unlikely Lads did a fantastic job. Every penny they've raised for PSC Support will be put to good use.
