Writing Your Press Release

As part of your fundraising, we recommend you send your story to local newspapers and radio stations two weeks before your fundraiser event.

The media prefer stories that are unique or unusual. Are you doing something different? Is there something unusual about your situation? Try to get this across, so it is more than just a local story. You might find you’ve already written some of your story in your online fundraising page.
