Yes, except in certain situations where we consider you or another person to be in immediate danger (and you have given us contact details).
Your details will be used for the purpose of providing you with support and information by phone or email, and will not be stored for any longer than is necessary.
We may make notes about the type of support or information provided to you by phone and how long the phone call lasted for. These notes will not identify you personally, and are only used for monitoring and reporting purposes.
Who will see my personal information?
When you contact us, you will be called or emailed by a trained volunteer. They are not medically qualified, and so they will not give medical advice but they do have experience of living with PSC. They will be able to see your email address, name, and the details of your enquiry if you have emailed us; and the name you have provided in your booking form, phone number, email address and preferred call back time if you've made an appointment for a helpline call.
Any information you provide about your health is a special category of personal information, and we rely on your consent to use it to provide you with appropriate support. When you book an appointment (below), you can give your specific consent by ticking the box.
