Color Run Manchester

Katy Color Run

Katy ran the Color Run in Manchester yesterday!

'What on earth is the Color Run?' you might be forgiven for wondering. The Color Run™, also known as the Happiest 5k on the Planet, is a unique colour race that celebrates healthiness, happiness, individuality, and giving back to the community. The runners get doused from head to toe in different colours at each kilometre and the finish line culminates in a gigantic “Color Festival,” using more coloured powder to create happiness and lasting memories, not to mention millions of vivid colour combinations.

The Color Run has only two rules:

  • Wear white at the starting line
  • Finish plastered in colour - Katy - you certainly did that!

On a serious note, Katy knows exactly how devastating and debilitating PSC can be. Sadly, in March 2014, her liver deteriorated so badly because of Primary Sclerosing Cholangitis, she was given a life-saving liver transplant. What better way to celebrate life and give back to the community than by doing the Color Run?

Thank you, Katy, for raising awareness of our rare, autoimmune liver disease and raising funds for PSC Support to continue helping people affected by PSC and supporting vital PSC research.
